Takhar Province
General Information: Takhar province is located in the North-east part of Afghanistan that has borders with Tajikistan in the north, Badakhshan in the northeast, Kunduz in the North West, Baghlan in the southwest, and Panjshir in the south. Taluqan is the center of the province. Area: Takhar province has 12458 Sqkm areas that occupy 1.91 % of total area of Afghanistan. Number of Districts: Takhar province has 17 districts including the center that is Taluqan. The districts are Namakab, Chal, Hazar Smooch, Baharak, Farkhar, Worsaj, Bangi, Khwaja Ghar, Khwaja bahuddin, Dasht Qala, Yangi qala, Ishkamish, Darqad, Rustaq, Kalafgan, and Chah Ab.
